ELIXIR's first five year programme is guiding the implementation of ELIXIR until 2018.
The eight strategic objectives of the ELIXIR Programme are to:
The ELIXIR 2015 Annual Report covers the major events and activities in 2015 and shows ELIXIR's progress against the priorities in its Scientific Programme 2014-2018.
This brochure presents ELIXIR activities, resources and projects in human genomics and translational data.
The ELIXIR 2016 Annual Report highlights the major activities and achievements of ELIXIR in 2016.
EMBL-EBI is seeking a highly motivated Biocurator to join the Data Coordination and Archiving Team. The team provides data coordination and other bioinformatics support services for partners around the world for a portfolio of studies. Using the host of data resources available from EMBL-EBI, ELIXIR and beyond, the successful candidate will contribute to the translation of this substantial infrastructure to marine and other environmental communities and contribute to the construction of rich public data sets in a fast-growing and important area of applied science.
The post holder will contribute to two EU projects where EMBL-EBI represents ELIXIR: EMBRIC and ENVRI+. EMBRIC brings together Research Infrastructures in the area of marine biotechnology. In addition to providing direct support to users from a range of marine studies, the post holder will contribute to the development and operation of services around the configuration and presentation of ELIXIR resources and the coordination of genomics and other relevant data sets.
As partners in the European Union’s ENVRI+ project, EMBL-EBI is tracking and maximising interoperability between ELIXIR’s data resources and those of environmental science Research Infrastructures. Through the profiling of practices in environmental informatics, the post holder will work towards maximum possible harmonisation between bioinformatics and environmental data resources.
We are looking to recruit a scientist to support our work for the Horizon 2020 project “Coordinated Research Infrastructures Building Enduring Life-science services” (Corbel). The role is to work directly with scientists from around Europe in their use of our chemogenomics resources (particularly ChEMBL), to progress their research projects and to develop training programmes.
