The BioHackathon Europe brings together bioinformaticians from around the world offering an intense week of hacking on diverse and exciting projects. This year, there are 32 accepted projects which can be found on the BioHackathon website.

How to increase the findability, visibility, and impact of Galaxy tools for your scientific community

Here, we present a semi-automated and reusable pipeline for creating tailored interactive tables that list the identity and metadata (e.g. bio.tools, EDAM) available for Galaxy tools in a specific community (e.g. microGalaxy, imaging). In addition, we also describe an annotation framework to improve the quality of the table contents, and training material to support the reuse of both the pipeline and table by additional communities.

CAFA-evaluator: a Python tool for benchmarking ontological classification methods

An ELIXIR Italy paper

We present CAFA-evaluator, a powerful Python program designed to evaluate the performance of prediction methods on targets with hierarchical concept dependencies. It generalizes multi-label evaluation to modern ontologies where the prediction targets are drawn from a directed acyclic graph and achieves high efficiency by leveraging matrix computation and topological sorting.

Join the next AAI community engagement call held by the ELIXIR AAI-focused work package of the ELIXIR Compute Platform (WP2).

You will learn about other infrastructures, communities and projects utilising the Life Science Login authentication and authorization capabilities. We will introduce how BBMRI-ERIC, INSTRUCT-ERIC, EUCAIM, GDI, EJP-RD, canSERV, Health-RI and others use LS AAI.
