Updates from Platforms
The deadline for applications for Implementation Studies addressing Integration of Data Resources from ELIXIR Nodes: Increasing the sustainability of the ELIXIR Data Resource landscape is midnight GMT on Tuesday 31 October i.e. midnight at the end of Tuesday 31 October. All proposals must be accompanied by Declarations of Support signed by the Head of Node for each participating Node.
In the event that the Head of Node of the Lead Partner is unable to submit the proposal and Declarations of Support, a Deputy HoN or the Lead PI may make the submission, with the participating Heads of Nodes in copy.
Rachel Drysdale (rachel.drysdale@elixir-europe.org) is happy to answer any questions. The Compute Platform is holding a Webinar on the transfer of large volume of electronic confidential human data, with the support of AAI, on 13 November 2017.
The Compute Platform has also opened a registration for its Face to Face meeting on 18-19 January 2018 in Heidelberg, Germany. The registration deadline is 15 November 2017. A Face to Face to Face meeting of the Tools Platform takes place on 8-9 February 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. The registration deadline is 30 November 2017.

ELIXIR Portugal is hosting training course on Translational Bioinformatics in Precision Medicine on 13-17 November in Lisbon, Portugal. ELIXIR Czech is holding its Annual Conference on 15 November 2017 in Třešť, Czech Republic EMBL-EBI is organising a Bioinformatics Resources for Protein workshop on 6-8 March 2018 in Hinxton, UK. This three day workshop will present data resources and tools developed by EMBL-EBI that can help in protein studies. The latest newsletter from the Tryggve project is out.
