ELIXIR Reports, the ELIXIR channel on the F1000 Research publication platform now includes two new articles, presenting activities of ELIXIR France and ELIXIR Netherlands.
A reminder regarding reimbursement of travel costs for All Hands meeting:
- participation in EXCELERATE meetings by EXCELERATE partners should come out of partner project budget
- participation in EXCELERATE meetings for ELIXIR members who are not part of/funded in EXCELERATE to be financed by Node.
Updates from Nodes
SIB (ELIXIR Switzerland) is hosting The Ninth Biocuration conference in Geneva 10-14 April 2016. ELIXIR Finland (CSC-IT Center for Science) is now offering its secure cloud computing services on the ePouta platform to the ELIXIR community. The price list is published on the CSC's website (ELIXIR members outside of Finland should follow prices labeled as 'other'). ELIXIR UK organises a ELIXIR UK Node expansion workshop on 1 March 2016 in London. The workshop will clarify the process for preparing Expressions of Interest for ELIXIR-UK's Node Expansion during 2016.
Platform updates
ELIXIR Sweden is organising second Genome Annotation and Assembly Capacity Building Workshop in Barcelona on 3 April, as part of the ELIXIR-EXCELERATE Genome Annotation and Assembly task (10.3). Nodes involved in this task are especially invited to register. Instructor training in Lausanne concluded the Software and Data Carpentry Pilot Action. First six ELIXIR trainers become certified Software and Data Carpentry Instructors.
