Platform updates
ELIXIR Head of Human Genomics and Translational Data, Serena Scollen spoke at the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health 4th Plenary Meeting last week to introduce the ELIXIR vision for Human Data. ELIXIR was well represented at the meeting with people from Hub and Nodes. A Beacon project meeting was held alongside the main plenary sessions to update GA4GH members about progress and features, and a workshop held to consider new features, concerns and the future plans.
More information about the Human Data Use Case can be found via the ELIXIR Website. The slides and recording from the first webinar on the process for the selection of ELIXIR Core Data Resources are now available for viewing via the ELIXIR website. A second webinar will take place on Monday 14 November 2016. Submission closes 1 December 2016.
As agreed with the Heads of Nodes committee this will be a preliminary process with the primary purpose of understanding if this is an effective, excellence driven approach. If you are considering any submissions speak to your Head of Node. Read our news release.
