Hub updates
Platforms and Use Cases will be presented at the ELIXIR Special track at ISMB/ECCB 2017 in Prague this week (Meeting Hall IA on Tuesday 25 July, 10:00am-4:30pm).
ELIXIR also has two exhibition booths at the conference - one as a general information point, manned by the ELIXIR Hub, and one as a demonstration area featuring ELIXIR Services such as TeSS, BioTools and InterMine.
Sheena Lee has joined the ELIXIR Hub last week as ELIXIR Administrative Officer, replacing Nicola Kay, who goes on maternity leave from 9 August 2017- 3 Jan 2018, and then in March 2018 moves on from ELIXIR after completing 9 years. Sheena's email address is sheena.lee@elixir-europe.org.
The recording from the webinar presented last week by Pablo Roman from the ELIXIR Hub on current and future plans for ELIXIR engagement with industry is available online. Find out more about future webinars here.
A reminder that ELIXIR Heads of Nodes have agreed principles to select and renew Use Cases. As the development of the next five-year Scientific Programme for ELIXIR (2019-2023) starts in the autumn, we will also need to consider which Use Cases to include in that Programme. A Use Case Application template has been prepared based on the principles, and existing and new Use Cases have been asked to prepare a submission by 10 September. All submissions will be presented at the HoN meeting taking place 13 September in Basel.
