'New tool simplifies the submission of SARS-CoV-2 data to open databases'

ELIXIR Belgium, in collaboration with ELIXIR Germany and the European COVID-19 Data Platform, have developed a tool to simplify the submission of viral sequencing data to the European Nucleotide Archive (ENA).

ELIXIR-LU | Did you miss the EKES webinar with Petagene?

Two weeks ago, ELIXIR-LU and Petagene shared the first EKES (ELIXIR Knowledge Exchange Scheme) pilot outcome a webinar on genomic data privacy. This workshop was the basis for future collaboration between Petagene and ELIXIR Luxembourg, with a scope to expand to other ELIXIR Nodes.

Webinar | ELIXIR AAI online advanced training for Relying Services

26 November 2020 | 10 am12:30 pm CET, Online

During the last Compute Platform meeting, CINECA WP2 and the ELIXIR AAI task decided to organise a training for service developers on the advanced functionality in ELIXIR AAI, in particular:

Oauth2 Device code flow (e.g. enabling SSH access)
Provisioning/de-provisioning users and their attributes from ELIXIR AAI to a service

The trainers will enable participants to set up non-web authentication using the ELIXIR AAI to the remote machines.

Earlier this month, Vera Master and Marta Lloret Llinares from the EMBL-EBI training team presented a webinar 'Using competencies to guide training and professional development', as part of the BioExcel webinar series.
The webinar presented the recent BioExcel competency work, which added a career development module to the Competency Hub with career profiles in the field of computational biomolecular research. Users can browse and compare career profiles created by BioExcel, and create and compare their own profile to the existing ones.
