Hub updates
This week we will be welcoming representatives from across Europe to Hinxton for the BioMedBridges final symposium: Open bridges for life science data.
Hinxton will also see the launch of the CORBEL project that will continue the work started by BioMedBridges. The kick-off meeting takes place on 19 November 2015 in Hinxton, UK.
ELIXIR is at the European Data Forum (EDF 2015) this week in Luxembourg with an exhibition booth and talk by Mark Forster, Chair of the ELIXIR Industry Advisory Committee. Follow #EDF2015 for more.
ELIXIR Scientific Advisory Board has three new members. Prof. Pascal Borry, Prof. Kate Bushby, and Dr Susan Wallace have been appointed at the ELIXIR Board meeting in October.
The Community workshop will launch the BioSchemas project to support information exchange about life science activities. It takes place on 19 November in Hinxton, UK. More information and agenda.
Updates from Nodes
ELIXIR-UK has launched a survey on UK Community Engagement to help develop future strategy. All researchers who make use of international data resources in the life sciences are invited to take part. EMBL-EBI invites life science researchers to complete an annual survey about how they use EMBL-EBI's biological databases, tools, and other resources. ELIXIR Belgium is organising conference Applied Bioinformatics in Life Sciences on 17-18 March 2016 in Leuven, Belgium. Early bird registration is open.
