Hub updates
The ELIXIR-EXCELERATE project Mid-Term review took place last week on Wednesday in Brussels. We will receive the final report within a couple of weeks, but the preliminary feedback from the reviewer was already very positive.
The Mid-Term review meeting was followed by a one-day ELIXIR Conference 'Core Resources for Data Economy' to discuss the impact of open biological data on innovation and growth. Slides and photos from the event are available on the ELIXIR website.
Take part in the survey on the design of a common digital service catalogue for research! The European E-Infrastructure Services Gateway project (eInfraCentral http://einfracentral.eu) aims to gather information about digital services for research to create a single entry point to European e-infrastructure services. This survey is designed for digital service providers, their users, customers and interested stakeholders.
Update from Nodes
The NeIC Board agreed to extend the Tryggve collaboration into a new three-year project - Tryggve2. The project will continue to work on developing solutions for secure cloud capabilities and cross-border transfer of sensitive data in ELIXIR Nodes in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Peter McQuilton (ELIXIR-UK) will present a webinar on Biosharing this Wednesday 17 May, 15.00 CET. Biosharing is a curated, informative and educational resource on inter-related data standards, databases, and policies in the life, environmental and biomedical sciences.
