The SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics is part of a new European research project RHAPSODY to improve the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes. EMBL-EBI organises a series of training events in 2016 and 2017: Exploring biological sequence data (Nov 2016); Exploring genomic variation (Nov-Dec 2016); Data visualisation for biology (Jan-Feb 2017); and Practical Course on Metabolomics (Feb 2017).

Platform updates

ELIXIR's F1000Research channel publishes paper Top 10 metrics for life science software good practices by M. Corpas et al. as an outcome of the joint ELIXIR-SSI workshop in December 2015.
