ELIXIR kicked off three new Implementation Studies in September. Alongside four ongoing projects, they make up ELIXIR's current portfolio of Implementation Studies, involving 9 ELIXIR Nodes.
ELIXIR was at the International Conferences on Research Infrastructures (ICRI) in South Africa last week, coinciding with the launch of the ELIXIR International Strategy.
Project proposal submission is now open for the Open Call offering selected research projects the unique opportunity to access multiple RIs with just one application. For more information visit the CORBEL website.
Platform updates
A reminder that a process for the selection of ELIXIR Core Data Resources has been launched, developed by the Data Platform as part of EXCELERATE deliverable 3.1.
The first of two webinars on the process will take place today, Monday 10 October 2016 at 15.00 CEST to communicate to Nodes what is expected from the submissions. A second webinar will take place on Monday 14 November 2016 in case of any further questions.
As agreed with the Heads of Nodes committee this will be a preliminary process with the primary purpose of understanding if this is an effective, excellence driven approach. If you are considering any submissions speak to your Head of Node.
EXCELERATE updates
A reminder that ELIXIR has launched a series of project management network monthly phone conferences to take place every second Monday of the month from 14:00-15:00 CET time. The phone conferences are intended to provide a forum for discussion for project management and administrative staff from the Nodes.
The next phone conference on ' EC reporting - periodic reports and continuous reporting (deliverables and milestones)' will take place today, Monday 10 October.
Interested parties should register for the Project Management Network to receive further information.
