ELIXIR Hub appoints Stephanie Suhr as Senior Project Manager

ELIXIR is delighted to announce that Stephanie Suhr will join the ELIXIR Hub as Senior Project Manager with responsibility for further development of good project management practice within ELIXIR and to lead the project management unit for externally funded projects.

Stephanie will continue as project manager for the EU-funded BioMedBridges project until the successful conclusion of this project and take responsibility for leading ELIXIR-EXCELERATE - ELIXIR’s INFRADEV-3 implementation project. She will be supported by additional project management expertise, including the project manager for CORBEL, a post currently open here.

Before joining ELIXIR, Stephanie Suhr was the project manager of BioMedBridges, a cluster project funded by the European Commission to promote data interoperability between ten new international research infrastructures in the life sciences, coordinated by EMBL-EBI. She previously held positions in science management at the European XFEL, a large physics research infrastructure under construction in Hamburg, Germany, and the US Antarctic Program, where she was responsible for the operational review, project management and implementation of research cruises on two research vessels. She also briefly worked in science publishing. Stephanie holds a PhD in oceanography from the University of Southampton.
