European Commission funding rules - your questions answered - breakout session @ ELIXIR all-hands meeting 2016

ELIXIR is currently involved in two big European Commission-funded projects, EXCELERATE and CORBEL. It is important that staff from the Nodes involved in these or any other EC-funded projects (present or future) have at least a basic understanding of EC funding rules.

In this session, we want to:

• give a short introduction into EC funding rules, specifically:
  • Grant Agreement and Consortium Agreement: what is what
  • Scientific reporting (continuous and periodic)
  • Financial reporting
  • Eligible costs (i.e. "what can be charged to the Grant", including personnel, travel, workshops, etc.)

Target audience

Anyone involved in managing tasks or work packages in the frame of the EC-funded projects EXCELERATE and/or CORBEL, all staff from Nodes involved in or responsible for EC-funded projects, including technical and administrative staff
