Delivering FAIR metadata for COVID-19 Health data portal
Last week, the Health-RI workshop took place, withGO FAIR and ZonMw, to help researchers create FAIR data in ZonMws COVID-19 projects. The recordings, slide decks and notes are now available at the workshop's webpage

ELIXIR UK successfully hosts the first UK Conference of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
Last week, the Earlham Institute hosted the inaugural UK Conference of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in partnership with ELIXIR-UK.
It was a huge success, with around 150 delegates attending the virtual event. Several ELIXIR-UK members highlighted diverse ELIXIR activities, including FAIRplus and the ELIXIR Health Data Focus Group.

Join the Professionalising Data Stewardship RDA Interest Group

This RDA interest group tackles data stewardship challenges thanks to multiple working groups, such as:
- Data stewardship terminology
- The integration of data stewardship across an organisation
- Job profiles, training and career tracks
- Networking and knowledge exchange
- Certification
Summary | GOBLET Annual General Meeting
Hosted by ELIXIR-FI
Going fully virtual for the first time, the meeting gathered over 40 registered participants from 25 different countries and 6 continents.
GOBLET Chair, Celia van Gelder, introduced the annual initiative's activities, followed by 14 flash talks from the international training community. The different discussion included topics such as making training materials FAIR or Bioschemas an area where ELIXIR and GOBLET are actively collaborating.
Finally, the members discussed the activities for the coming year, including working on high school bioinformatics materials and a series of workshops to implement the 10 rules for making training materials FAIR.
