Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange programme - launch of the 2024 call for applications
We would hereby like to inform Nodes about the launch of the 2024 call for applications of the Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange programme. It builds on results and legacy of several instruments applied under the ELIXIR Staff Exchange programme in the 2019-23 Programme.
It is designed to allow exchanges of staff between two or more ELIXIR Nodes or industry on a specific topic. Like its predecessor, the programme covers exchanges of various lengths, from conference or workshop travel grants and short term visits, to longer-term stays. It encompasses four funding instruments:
- Travel grant scheme,
- Staff Exchange Projects,
- Knowledge Exchange Scheme,
- Node-Industry Engagement Days, INED (former pilot).
The purpose of the Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange programme remains the same: to strengthen the links between ELIXIR Nodes, facilitate capacity building in ELIXIR Nodes and support the exchange of best practices in bioinformatics service provision. It covers ad-hoc needs, accommodating innovative, emerging ideas, or newly onboarded people requiring capacity building and knowledge exchange outside of the activities already funded in ELIXIR Commissioned Services.
