Dates for ELIXIR HoNs meetings 2017
Thank you for completing the doodle polls to help us find dates dates for HoNs meetings and teleconferences in 2017. We would like to confirm the dates as follows:
- HoNs TC to be held 17 March 2017, 14.00-16.00 UK time/15.00-17.00 CET.
- HoNs retreat to be held 13 - 14 June 2017, location TBC
- One day meeting to review the 2018 Work Plan and Budget to be held 13 September 2017, However, please note the date and location is TBC (may be subject to change)
- HoNs TC to be held 5 December 2017, 13.00 - 16.00 UK time / 14.00 - 17.00 CET
ELIXIR Platform Leads are also invited to take part in ELIXIR HoNs meetings and teleconferences by open invitation.
We also expect that there will be a opportunity for HoNs to meet briefly as part of the ELIXIR SAB meeting being held alongside the ELIXIR All Hands on 20 March, if required.

ELIXIR Handbook of Operations new release
An update to the ELIXIR Handbook of Operations is now available on the intranet. Please send any feedback on the Handbook to Susanna Repo. We expect to release the next update in April.

Core Data Resources Selection Process
Each HoN should now have received 4 ELIXIR Core Data Resources for review along with guidelines and a template for the scoring.
HoNs are asked to complete and return their assessments to core-resources@elixir-europe.org by 30th January. For the dedicated HoNs meeting in 6th Feb the process will be as follows:
- One slide per resource will be compiled at the Hub beforehand. This information will not be circulated before the meeting.
- Each slide will have the individual external reviewers (4) and HoN (4) scores
- The designated Rapporteur will summarise the outcomes of the review and drive the discussions for each resource
- Up to 20 Core Data resources will be designated.
- We will dedicate the very last part of the meeting to gather feedback and thoughts about the process.

Registration for SAB meeting at ELIXIR All Hands
HoNs are invited to attend the ELIXIR SAB meeting to be held alongside the ELIXIR All Hands on 20 March 2017, 12.00 - 18.00. It is expected that there will be opportunity for HoNs to meet briefly as part of this meeting, if required (when the SAB meets in closed session). Please register if you plan to attend.
