Two separate ELIXIR collaborations have recently been awarded highly-prized grants from the Horizon 2020 WIDESPREAD Teaming Call.
Translational medicine
One project will see partners from the future ELIXIR Slovenia Node team up with experts from EMBL-EBI to help create a Centre for Excellence in Translational Medicine (CETM). Through the ARTEMIDA project, partners will develop an integrated research and innovation cluster in translational medicine for Central and South-East Europe. Led by the University of Ljubljana, which will act as the lead partner in Slovenia's ELIXIR Node, ARTEMIDA will allow insight and expertise in data management from staff at EMBL-EBI to be integrated into the CETM. The project will also see expertise in translational medicine provided by Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
Further information on CETM is available here.
Digital economy and health
In the second project, partners from ELIXIR Estonia will team up with Edinburgh University for a proposal on the digital economy and health.
