Meet the ELIXIR Plant use case experts

In this session we will discuss some of the issues and plans associated with EXCELERATE work package 7, which focuses on diverse, dispersed plant genotypic and phenotypic data.

Specifically, the work package concentrates on data discovery and retrieval – how can users be provided with access to such data in a transparent way, without needing to worry about who produced a data set or where it currently resides? We aim to implement solutions that utilise appropriate ELIXIR platform technologies and which will not only serve our immediate user community but also provide an exemplar for other communities facing similar problems.

• 5 problems in search of an implementation: Service registry; data discovery (meta data driven search); identifier management; data retrieval; farm connection
