The 2025 ELIXIR Federated Human Data (FHD) Community face-to-face meeting will be held jointly with the Human Data and Translational Research (HDTR) project meetings, including parallel WP workshops. The meeting will include presentations, open discussions, breakout sessions and participant engagement on topics including:

  • Updates and expansion of FEGA Nodes
  • Developments of the FEGA metadata model
  • Federated learning for sensitive data
  • Alignment of FHD with other EU initiatives (e.g. GDI, 1+MG, EHDS, GoE)
  • Progress of HDTR projects from the current ELIXIR CoS funding cycle (2024–2026)
  • FHD Community engagement in the upcoming funding cycle and the next ELIXIR HDTR Scientific Programme

Participation will be limited for in-person attendees, while virtual attendance will remain open to all. Selected invited participants will receive funding to attend. Further details on funding and reimbursement will be shared after registration. Please do not book travel until you have received confirmation.

Travel

Confirmed in-person participants are responsible for booking their own travel and accommodation. Invited attendees will receive reimbursement information after successful registration.

Venue

The address for the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB) is: Quartier Sorge, Bâtiment Amphipôle, CH 1015, Lausanne, Switzerland (see the Google Maps link).

The SIB is located in walking distance of the metro M1 station UNIL Sorge (please see image below). Here are meeting room details (which you can also find using the interactive UNIL campus map):
