The ELIXIR Cellular and Molecular Research (CMR) programme is organising a hybrid workshop to bring together contributors to ongoing CMR activities and invited participants from across ELIXIR. This lunch-to-lunch workshop will start at 12:30 CEST on Tuesday 21 April with a joint lunch with attendees of the co-located Biodiversity, Food Security and Pathogens (BFSP) workshop and end at 13:30 CEST on Wednesday 22 April 2026. The workshop will focus on reviewing progress across the current CMR work programme, strengthening connections between activities and outputs, and shaping priorities for the 2027–2028 CMR work programme.
The workshop is for:
- CMR Work Package leads and contributors
- ELIXIR Community members with an interest in the present and future direction of Cellular and Molecular Research within ELIXIR
Key topics:
- Updates from ongoing CMR Work Packages and activities
- Cross-WP linkages and integration within CMR
- Alignment with ELIXIR Platforms and Communities
- Priorities and strategic directions for the CMR 2027–2028 work programme
The final agenda for the workshop is TBC.
Participation
In-person attendance is limited; virtual participation is unlimited. Accepted in-person participants will receive:
- travel costs reimbursed in line with ELIXIR rules
- one night of accommodation (on 21 April)
- on-site catering (two lunches, coffee breaks and one dinner)
This event is open to ELIXIR members only. If you wish to attend in person, please register your interest during the registration period. Expressions of interest will be reviewed by the CMR leadership, taking into account:
- CMR Work Package involvement or leadership
- Node representation
- engagement with CMR activities
- expertise relevant to the workshop objectives
Notifications to accepted and funded in-person participants will be sent no later than 6 March 2026. Please do not book travel until you have received confirmation. Participants not selected for in-person attendance will be invited to complete virtual registration, which will remain open until shortly before the event (see deadlines above).
Travel and venue
Once notified of in-person attendance, participants should arrange their own travel. Accommodation for one night has been pre-reserved at the event venue for all in-person attendees. The nearest airport is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS). The hotel can be reached directly by train from Schiphol and from Amsterdam Centraal.
