ELIXIR pilots new Knowledge Exchange Scheme between academia and industry

ELIXIR has opened a call for pilot projects for a new Knowledge Exchange Scheme. The  ELIXIR Knowledge Exchange Scheme (EKES) gives individual members of ELIXIR Nodes the chance to spend time at an industry partners’ facilities. The scheme will cover travel and accommodation expenses for ELIXIR Nodes staff members so that they can work on a collaborative project with industry and organise workshops either at an academic institute or an industry workplace.

ELIXIR has supported staff exchanges between ELIXIR Nodes before, but this if the first time a scheme dedicated to facilitating staff exchanges between ELIXIR and industry has been created. Proposals can be submitted from 1 June until 30 October 2019. Applications must be made jointly by an ELIXIR Node staff member and their industry partner.

See the Information about the 2019 EKES Open Call for details of the application process, and the Knowledge Exchange Scheme page for general information.
